Tuesday the 26th of May I was meant to return to Lomé to get my Visa renewed. Early in the morning we sat off, though already after only 1h at 6:30am a problem
with the bus … waiting and waiting … every now and then a little spark of hope … after 3h at the side of the road we hitchhiked to the next village Tchebebe as lunch was approaching … and really there was plenty of time for a refreshing ice cream, a relaxing lunch meal and another ice cream … even a short little walk was possible … and for the religious travellers a prayer at the local mosque … and then finally after 7.5h at 2pm the bus was fixed and the ride continued. Needless to say, I arrived rather late in Lomé, though I also met some nice people during the trip … all in all a nice little day out.
